Down in Sultanpur Village, things move a bit slower than in the city, and our clinic on Lashkar Road is part of that rhythm. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and the building itself is just a plain structure that fits right in with the rest of the village. Most of our day is spent waiting for the locals to drop by after they finish their work in the fields or at home. Since we are on Lashkar Road, we get people traveling from nearby small clusters too. The waiting room has some old wooden benches that have been there since we opened. They aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a couple of us who handle everything from the front desk to the actual checkups. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just open the windows to let the breeze in. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for when the kids are out of school and running past. We deal with basic stuff, mostly coughs, minor injuries, or just giving advice on health. There aren't any big computers or fancy systems here; we still do most things with paper and pens. It’s honest work, and we like being part of the village community like this. Everyone knows everyone, so a lot of the time is spent just chatting while we fill out the register and wait for the sun to go down.
