Kritagya Masala

You can find us over at number 83 on Harda Road. The name on the board is Kritagya Masala. The easiest way to find us is to look for the Security Paper Mill, which is a massive place right nearby. Harda Road is always busy with big trucks moving goods back and forth, so there is quite a bit of dust in the air. Inside our workspace, the air is thick with the scent of different spices because that is what we spend our days processing. We do a lot of the weighing and bagging by hand. It’s a lot of physical labor and we don't have fancy air conditioning. Most of us are out on the floor rather than sitting behind a desk. The building has been here for a long time, and you can see the age in the brickwork. Local workers walk over every morning from the nearby houses to start their shifts. It’s a very steady and familiar routine. When the shifts change at the paper mill, the road outside gets completely blocked with people and cycles. We have to time our deliveries carefully so we don't get stuck in the middle of it. It’s a simple way of life for us. We don't have any marketing people or anyone in suits. It’s just us, the raw materials, and the grinding machines. Sometimes the power cuts out, and we just sit outside for a bit.
