Sethi Book Depot

Sethi Book Depot is located on Bulandshahr Road in Maheshpur. If you know where the HP Petrol Pump is, we are right near there. It’s a busy road, so there’s always the sound of horns and engines in the background while we work. The shop is filled with books from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it feels like the walls are made of paper. We spend a lot of time dusting the shelves because the road outside brings in a lot of dirt. It’s a lot of work keeping everything in order, especially when the new school term starts and everyone is looking for the same textbooks at once. We aren't some polished bookstore with a cafe; we are a depot where people come to find what they need. It can be a bit cramped inside, and you might have to squeeze past a few boxes to get to the back. We know our regulars by name, and we usually know exactly what they are looking for before they even ask. Working here is steady. We don’t have fancy displays or anything, just rows and rows of books. Sometimes we find old copies of things we forgot we even had. It’s an honest way to make a living here in Maheshpur. We’ve been at this location for years, and while the area has changed, the shop stays pretty much the same.
