We are located out in Gudia, which is part of the Nohar Tahsil in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan. Our office is basically set up at Sri Gevanaram Man's place, and it’s a pretty simple operation we have going here. We handle a lot of transport work for the local area and beyond. It is not some fancy corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, we have a few desks, some old chairs, and a lot of logbooks that we fill out by hand most of the time. The dust from the Rajasthan roads usually finds its way inside, so we are always cleaning off our papers. Life here is mostly about making sure the trucks are moving and the drivers have what they need for their trips. We spend hours on the phone talking to people about where their goods are. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and we have to slow down, but the work never really stops. My cousin helps out with the accounts and we have a couple of guys who know the routes to Nohar perfectly. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If people need us, they just come by or call the number they’ve had for years. We try to be honest about the timing and if a truck is stuck, we just say so. It’s a practical way to run things and it seems to work for the folks around here.
