Shree Balaji Tiles Industries

Out on Kalibanga Road in Sahjipura, we are busy making tiles at Shree Balaji Tiles Industries. You can find us in Ward No-15, not too far from the petrol pump. The yard is usually full of stacks of finished tiles drying in the sun. It is a dusty business, and the noise of the mixers can be a bit much if you aren't used to it. We don't have any fancy showroom with lights and mirrors. We just show people the actual tiles right where they are made. The sun gets really hot out here near the road, so we do most of the heavy lifting in the early hours. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for a long time. They know exactly how to mix the materials to get things right. Sometimes a batch doesn't turn out perfect, and we have to start over, but that is just part of the process. We don't spend money on big ads or glossy brochures. If someone needs tiles for their floor or a wall, they usually just pull in past the petrol pump and talk to us directly. We use simple tools and a lot of hard work to keep the production going. It’s a basic life, but seeing a finished house with our tiles on it feels pretty good.
