Hanuraj Fish Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Sangaria, Hanumangarh. Our office is actually Room No. 8 in the Administrative Building at K. V Kendra. It is a bit of a formal setting for us, since most of our work happens out by the water. Fish farming is a bit different from the usual crop farming you see in Rajasthan, and that’s why we started this company. We wanted to help fish farmers get organized and find better ways to sell their catch. Our group is made up of people who have been around ponds and water for a long time. We aren't corporate types in suits. We usually show up to the office in our work clothes, sometimes with mud on our boots. We spend our time talking about things like feed prices and how to keep the fish healthy. It is a lot of trial and error, honestly. We’ve had seasons where things didn't go well, and we had to learn from those mistakes. The office is a simple room with some old files and a few chairs. We don't have any fancy brochures or big promises. We just want to help the local fish farmers make a decent living. It is a lot of physical work and the hours can be very long during the harvest. Hanumangarh is a good place for this kind of work, and we are glad to be part of the community here. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the business moving forward as best as we can.
