Hamaribetiyarani Foundation

Hamaribetiyarani Foundation is based out of Thiraj Wala in Hanumangarh. Our foundation is registered at Richhpal’s house, he is the son of Khayali Ram Meghwal. It is a very local, family-run kind of thing. We do not have a glass building or a big sign, just a regular house where we handle all our business. That is just how things are done here in this part of Rajasthan. We started Hamaribetiyarani Foundation because we really care about the girls in our community. We saw things that did not seem right and decided to try and fix them ourselves instead of just waiting for someone else to show up. It is hard work and we do not always get things right on the first try. We are just learning as we go along. Most of the time we are out in the village instead of sitting behind a desk. If you ever come looking for us, you can just ask anyone for Richhpal’s house and they will point the way. The roads around here can get pretty rough after it rains, so you have to be careful. We keep all our records in simple notebooks and try to stay organized, but it is a lot of work for a small group like ours. We do not have a big budget for fancy stuff. Every bit of help we get goes straight into the work. It is just us trying for our daughters.
