We are the Advance Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our office is located at So Surajbhaan Goyal in the Purani Dhaan Mandi area of Sangaria, Hanumangarh. This is in Rajasthan, so you can imagine it gets quite hot here during the summer months. Being in the old grain market area means we are right where the action is for the farmers. Every morning, there's a lot of shouting and movement as people bring in their produce to the market. We focus on the organic side of things, trying to help the local producers get organized so they can get a fair deal. It’s a straightforward operation. We have a small room with some benches and a big wooden table where the farmers sit and talk about their day. We don't use any complicated jargon or big words. We just talk about the soil and the crops and how things are going. Surajbhaan Goyal has been a known name around here for a very long time. The building itself is quite old, with thick walls that help to keep the heat out during the day. We spend a lot of time drinking cold water and checking the market prices. It’s a community effort more than anything else. We want the local farmers in Sangaria to do well with their organic harvests. There are no fancy brochures here, just real people trying to make a living from the land.
