Our place is located in Kothawada, specifically in the Thummalakunta area of Warangal. The house number is 11-28-256/3. Kothawada is known for its weaving, so we are right where we need to be. Parameshwari is a small producer company. We have a few rooms filled with looms and yarn. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a lot of orders to finish. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just a few of us who know how to weave and a couple of people to help with the logistics. The work is slow because everything is done by hand. You have to be patient with the thread, or it will just break on you. We don't use any fancy advertising. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. Sometimes people come by just to see how the handlooms work. We don't mind as long as they don't get in the way. The air in the workshop is usually filled with the smell of dyed yarn. We work hard, but we also take long breaks when the heat gets too much in the middle of the day. It’s not a glamorous job, but there is a certain pride in seeing a finished piece of cloth that you made yourself. We just want to keep doing what we know how to do.
