Down in Bheemaram, Warangal, you will find our setup. We are a federation, which basically means we are a group of people working together on dyeing and printing fabrics. Being located near Forest Colony, it’s a bit away from the main city rush of Warangal, but we stay quite busy. The work is mostly hands-on. You can smell the dyes when you walk into the processing areas. It’s a messy job sometimes. We have these big vats and printing machines that run through the day. The floors are usually damp and there are splashes of color everywhere. We deal with a lot of different textiles, trying to get the shades just right for whoever needs them. It’s a process that you can't really rush. If the heat isn't right or the mix is off, the whole batch can look wrong. We spend a lot of time just checking the cloth as it comes out of the processors. It is a community thing really, lots of local workers from the Hasanparthy area come here every morning. We don't have a glossy brochure or a fancy reception desk. It’s just a functional space where we get the dyeing done. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to wait for parts, but that’s just part of the daily life here at H.No.2-144. We just focus on the fabric and getting the printing finished so it can be shipped out.
