Our office is a simple one, right in the heart of the community. Bheemaram is a nice area, and being in Hanumakonda means we are close to a lot of local activity. We spend our time here managing the chit fund cycles. There isn't much to see inside besides some desks, chairs, and old steel cupboards for the files. We like it that way. It’s a practical space. The building itself is an older one, but it serves us well. Most of our members are from the nearby streets in Warangal. They walk over or ride their bikes to come see us. There is always a bit of tea being shared and some talk about the local news while we work. The pace is a bit slower here than in the big cities like Hyderabad, which is fine by us. We keep our records by hand mostly, though we have a small computer for the main stuff. It gets a bit bright in the afternoons, so we keep the curtains drawn. It’s just a basic office where we handle the money and the paperwork for the people in the area. We’ve been here at 3-75 for a good stretch of time.
