Spices Company

We are located right in Ward No 01, near the Post Office in Handwara. It’s a busy area, especially with the Kupwara Degree College nearby. Spices Company is what we call ourselves, mostly because that is exactly what we handle every single day. The building isn't anything special, just a place where we store and pack what comes in from the local growers. You can usually smell the place before you see it, which is something the neighbors have grown used to over the years. We spend a lot of time sorting through bags and making sure everything is dry. In Handwara, news travels fast, so people just know to come to us when they need something for their kitchen or their shop. We keep the books manually mostly, and there is always a cup of tea going somewhere in the back. It gets cold here in the winter, so we have to make sure the storage stays tight against the damp air. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. It is just a few families working together to keep the business going. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the roads, but that is just how life is in Kupwara. We do our best to stay on top of the orders without getting too stressed. The college kids walk past our door every day on their way to class. It’s a simple setup we have here, and it works for us. We just keep doing what we know how to do, day after day.
