Vijaya Drinking Water

Vijaya Drinking Water is right here at 7-144 in Jawahar Colony. We are very close to the Government Primary School in Hanamkonda, so we hear the kids playing all day long. The main thing we do is fill and deliver those big 20-liter water cans that everyone uses. The floor of the shop is almost always wet because of the cleaning and filling process. We have a small truck and a couple of trolleys to move the cans around. Hanamkonda traffic can be a real headache, especially in the afternoons, so our delivery guys have to know all the back alleys to get around. We start very early, before the sun is even up, to get the first batch of water out to the houses. It’s hard work on the arms and shoulders, lifting those heavy bottles all day. The machinery for filtering the water is kept in the back, and we have to check the filters constantly. It’s not a glamorous job, but everyone needs water, so we stay busy. People from the colony just walk over when they run out. We keep a stack of empty cans by the door. It’s just a small local setup. We don't have any big corporate backing, just us and our customers who have been coming to us for years. It's a steady life in a busy neighborhood where everyone knows where to get their water.
