Sriinivas Welding Shop

If you head down to Laskar Bazar and look for Kammariwada, you’ll find our little welding shop at house number 5-5-147/1. It’s a small place, but we manage to get a lot done in the space we have. Most days you’ll hear the crackle of the welding torch and see the sparks flying. We handle all kinds of repair work, from fixing broken gates to putting together iron frames for windows. It’s hot work, especially during the summer months, but we’ve been doing this for a long time and we’re used to it. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. People just drop by with their broken metal pieces or a sketch of something they want built. We talk it over, figure out the best way to weld it, and get to work. It’s not a fancy setup, just some basic tools and a lot of experience. We try to help out everyone who comes through the door, whether it’s a small fix or a bigger project. Sometimes we’re backed up with work, but we try to be honest about how long things will take. There’s no corporate talk here, just plain conversation about iron and steel. We’ve lived in this neighborhood forever, so we know most of the faces that pass by. It’s just a local shop doing what we know how to do best every single day.
