Rajkumar

This place here in Venkatapur is where I spend most of my time. My father, Rajender, has lived in this area for a long time, and everyone around Zaffargud knows our family. Being out here in the Warangal district is different from being in the big city. It’s a lot quieter and you can see the fields from the road. Rajkumar is the name on the papers, but mostly people just know me as Rajender’s son. The house and the work area are one and the same really. We don’t have an office with a receptionist or anything like that. If someone needs to see me, they just come to the village and ask around. The roads can be a bit rough after the rain, so not many people visit unless they really have to. Most of the day is spent handling things locally and talking to the people who live nearby. The pin code is 506003, and that covers a lot of ground around here. Sometimes the heat is so bad that we have to stop working in the afternoon and just sit in the shade. It isn’t a fast life, but it is what we know. We grow a bit of food and take care of the business when it comes. It is just a small-scale operation in a small village, and that suits us fine for now. We don't really have any big plans to move or change how things are done.
