Mamatha Civil Constraints Works

We’ve been over here at Tharalapalli in Hanamkonda for a good while now. Mamatha Civil Constraints Works is basically just us doing the daily grind with bricks, cement, and all sorts of construction materials. It gets pretty dusty around H. No 1-36, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoon, but that’s just how it is when you’re in this line of work. We started out small, just a couple of guys and some basic tools, and we’ve slowly added more over the years. Some days it’s just about managing the labor and making sure the sand arrives on time, which is harder than it sounds. The roads around here can be a bit tight for the bigger trucks, so we spend a lot of time on the phone directing drivers. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s mostly just us sitting around a wooden desk covered in site plans and old receipts. My nephew helps with the accounts when he’s not busy with his own things. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we set up shop. People stop by to ask for advice on their house repairs or just to say hello while they’re passing through Hanamkonda. It’s not always easy, especially when the monsoon hits and everything turns to mud, but we keep the gates open and get on with it. We just do what we can with what we have.
