Up here in Manoh, the air feels a bit different. We are tucked away in the Bhoranj area of Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. It’s quite a climb to get here if you aren't used to the hills. Our office is in a quiet spot near Karohta. Most days are pretty calm. We mostly look after the administrative side of the tile business from this branch. The views are nice, especially after it rains and everything looks bright green. We don't have a lot of neighbors, just a few houses and some shops further down the road. Inside, it's pretty basic with wooden chairs and a few cupboards for our files. We have to keep an eye on the weather because heavy snow or rain can sometimes make the roads tricky for the delivery trucks. We drink a lot of tea to stay warm during the winter months. Everyone knows everyone else's name here. It’s not like a corporate office where people are strangers. We share snacks and talk about our kids or the local news. The work gets done, but we don't rush around like crazy. It’s more about being steady and making sure the records are correct. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or use torches if it's late. It’s a practical way of living and working in the mountains. We like the quietness of it all.
