Our setup in Vpo Hareta has been running for some time. Being up here in Hamirpur, specifically in the Galore area, the terrain is quite different from our other sites. We spend a lot of time dealing with the hills and the winding roads. The office is tucked away in the village, and mostly we’re out on the project sites. It gets cold in the winters, which slows things down, but we push through. There isn't much corporate talk here; we just focus on the engineering and the physical labor required for the infrastructure. Our staff stays locally or travels from nearby towns. People know the name Gammon India Ltd., Mumbai, but out here, we’re just the guys in the safety vests. We keep the equipment parked near the site and try to maintain a steady pace. It’s practical work. We don't spend money on advertising because the projects speak for themselves. The road to the office is a bit rough, but that's expected in this part of Himachal. We mostly handle coordination between the main office and the local labor. Sometimes we deal with supply delays because of the distance, but that’s just part of life in the hills. If you need to find us, just ask someone in Hareta. We’re usually around the main site or sorting out the logs in the small room we use for admin. It’s 174405 for the post, but we are usually just on the road or at the dig site.
