Vimal Kumar & Sons is a family business located in Ward No.5 of the Purana Bazar in Nalagarh. Our shop is in a very old part of town, characterized by narrow streets and buildings that have been around for generations. We are situated near the Shiv Mandir and right by the lane known as Goldy Nai Wali Gali. It’s a traditional market atmosphere where everyone knows their neighbors and news travels fast. Our shop has a bit of everything, and we’ve been serving the local community here for a long time. The street outside is usually crowded with people walking to the temple or doing their daily shopping. Inside, the shop feels a bit cramped because we have so much stock tucked away in every corner and on high shelves. We don't have a modern storefront with glass windows; it’s more of an open-front style where you can see everything from the street. The sounds of the temple bells and the chatter of the bazaar are the background noise to our daily work. We spend most of our time standing behind the counter, weighing things out or helping people find specific items. It’s a slow and steady way of working, very different from the big modern stores. We take pride in just being a steady presence in the Purana Bazar. The shop is our second home, and we handle things the way they have always been handled in our family.
