Uttishthati Foundation

Uttishthati Foundation is situated right within the National Institute of Technology campus in Hamirpur. If you know the NIT area, you know it is up in the hills of Himachal Pradesh. Being in a place like Hamirpur(T) means we get a lot of students and faculty walking by all the time. Our office is basically just a room on the campus. It’s got that 177005 pin code which everyone around here knows. The air is always a bit cooler up here because of the altitude. Most days, you can hear the sounds of the college—people rushing to class or hanging out near the canteen. We aren't a big corporate entity. We are just a group based out of the institute. It’s funny because sometimes people expect a big glass building, but we are just tucked away in one of the campus blocks. The furniture is the standard college stuff, and the walls have that typical institutional paint. We spend a lot of time just chatting with people who are part of the NIT community. It feels very grounded being around a place of learning. The hills around Hamirpur are beautiful, though sometimes the winter gets a bit harsh and we have to bundle up while we work. We don't have any flashy marketing or big events. It is mostly just us sitting at our desks, handling whatever comes our way. It's a very simple existence but it fits the vibe of the mountain life here in Himachal.
