Our place is situated on Gurdaspur Road, right on the main road in Pathankot. We are known as Universal Construction Machinery And Equipment Ltd., but to the people around here, we’re just the shop with all the heavy metal out front. Being near Special Machine Tools makes it easy for folks to find us. It’s a noisy part of town, especially with all the traffic heading through Pathankot, but it’s a good spot for a business like ours. We deal with big equipment, so we need the space and the access that the main road provides. Most of the staff here have grease on their hands by ten in the morning. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, and we don't mind that. We spend our days looking at engines, frames, and parts that most people wouldn't recognize. Sometimes we have to wait a while for parts to arrive, which can be frustrating, but that’s just the nature of construction machinery. The office is small and usually smells like tea and old paper. We try to keep things organized, but when you’re dealing with equipment this size, things can get a bit messy. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the regulars who pass by on Gurdaspur Road. It’s steady work, and while it isn't always easy, we’re glad to be part of the local scene here. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep everything running.
