Sri Annapoorna Traders

Out here in Village Mejar Ganj Malahi, things move a little slower than in the big towns. Our shop is in Ward No 7, right near the Post Office Chowk. It’s a central spot where people gather to talk or wait for their mail. Being traders, we deal with a lot of different goods that the local farmers and villagers need. You’ll find sacks of grain and other staples piled up. The building itself is older, and we’ve had to fix the roof a few times after the heavy rains. When the post office is busy, we get a lot of foot traffic. People come in to pick up a few things after they finish their business across the street. We don’t have a website or any of that modern stuff. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the day to start. My father used to handle things here, and now I do. It’s about keeping track of what’s coming in from the bigger markets and making sure it gets to the people here. Sometimes the roads are bad and the trucks get delayed, so we have to explain to folks why we’re out of something. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting bags and counting items by hand. We know most of our customers by their first names and their kids too. It is just a regular life in a small village, keeping the trade going.
