Marshall Produce Brokers is located way up in Village Bhoti. It is near the Tarkwari Post Office in the Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is a very different vibe here compared to the big cities. We are surrounded by hills and a lot of greenery. Our work is mostly about connecting local growers with people who need produce. It involves a lot of talking on the phone and keeping track of what is being harvested. We don't have a fancy office building; it’s more of a traditional setup that fits in with the village. The air is fresh, but the roads can be a bit tricky when it rains. We don't have a big staff. It is just a few of us who know the local area and the farmers well. We aren't using high-tech software or anything like that. Most of our notes are kept in ledgers or on simple computers. Things move a bit slower here, and we like it that way. You won't see us running big ads in the newspaper. Most people around here just know us by name. We spend our days checking quality and making sure the crates are ready for transport. It is honest work that depends a lot on the seasons. When the harvest is ready, we are very busy. In the off-season, things quiet down quite a bit. It is just life in the hills and we wouldn't have it any other way. It is a good life.
