Mahaveer Marble House

Down here at Mahaveer Marble House, things are usually pretty steady throughout the week. We are located right in the Main Market area near Nadoun, so we see a lot of familiar faces every single day. This isn't one of those big, shiny showrooms you see in the big cities. It’s a practical place where we keep a good stock of stones for local building projects. I’ve been working with marble for many years and I still find the patterns in the stone quite interesting. Each piece is a bit different. We mostly cater to the folks living around here who are building their first homes or maybe fixing up an old one for their children. The shop can get a bit cluttered when a new shipment arrives, but we usually have it sorted out by the afternoon. My son spends a lot of time talking to the contractors who come in looking for specific sizes or colors. We try to be helpful without being pushy about making a sale. There's no point in rushing someone when they are picking out a floor. It’s a big decision and expensive too. We don’t spend money on posters or radio ads. Most people just know where we are because we’ve been here so long. The market stays busy until late in the evening, so someone is almost always around to answer questions. It's just a regular local business trying to provide decent material to the community without any fuss or complicated processes. We do okay.
