Keppel Seghers Singapore Ltd

Way up here in Village Niyati, things are a bit different than the big cities. We are part of Keppel Seghers Singapore Ltd but our daily life is basically right here in the Nadaun area of Himachal Pradesh. It’s a quiet spot near Rangas and the air is definitely better than what the guys in Delhi get. Most of our days involve checking on the environmental projects we are handling. It’s a lot of engineering stuff and making sure the water or waste systems are actually doing what they should be. Sometimes the roads get a bit tricky when the weather turns, but that is just part of living in the hills. We have a small setup here in Hamirpur district. It’s not some glass building with a shiny lobby, just a practical place where we keep our tools and records. People around here know us as the ones working on the technical side of things. We spend a lot of time out in the field rather than just sitting at desks. It can be hard work especially when we have to coordinate with the main office far away. We usually just stick to our tasks and try to keep the machinery running right. It’s honest work and we like being tucked away in this part of the country. Life moves at its own pace here and we just fit right into it while doing our jobs without making a big deal of it.
