Akash Dal Mill

We run the Akash Dal Mill over in the Naugaon Industrial Area. Our spot is right near the railway station, so you can always hear the trains coming and going at different times during the day. It is a noisy place, but you get used to the sound of the engines and the loud whistles after a few weeks of working here. The mill stays busy with all the processing we have to do. There is always a bit of dust in the air from the grain, but that is just how a dal mill works. We have been in this industrial patch for a long time. It makes a lot of sense for us to be close to the station for moving things around. Most of the people working here have been with us for many years. We do not have a big fancy office; it is mostly just the mill floor and a small room for keeping the records. We keep the machines running as much as we can. When the harvest season hits, things get really hectic around here. We see a lot of farmers and truck drivers coming through the main gates. It is hard work, but it is what we know how to do. People in Naugaon know where we are if they need anything. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the mill stays in good shape. It is a simple life, working right next to the tracks and watching the cargo move.
