Vikrant Auto Suspensions is over at Unit No.1910 in the Gidc Estate in Halol. This whole area is full of industrial units just like ours. You can hear the sounds of welding and grinding from the neighbors all day long. Our unit isn't the biggest, but we make use of every inch of space we have. There are racks along the walls filled with different components. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil or metal shavings, no matter how often we sweep up. We have a few older machines that we’ve learned to fix ourselves when they act up. It’s just the way things are done here. The light comes in through some high windows that are a bit dusty. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we do, they just walk onto the floor and we show them whatever is on the bench at the moment. It’s a bit of a commute for some of the guys, so we try to stick to a strict schedule so everyone can get home on time. During the monsoon, the roof leaks a little in one corner, so we just put a bucket there and keep working. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. It’s just a place where we put in our hours and try to keep everything running as smoothly as possible without too much fuss.
