L&T Construction

Down at Plot No. 104 in the village of Maghasar, you'll find our L&T Construction site office. We are situated right near the Hero Moto Corporation, which is a big landmark around here. Working out in Maghasar is a lot different than being in a city office. It’s more about being on the ground and seeing things get built. We have a temporary sort of setup with some cabins and a lot of heavy machinery nearby. It gets pretty loud with the trucks coming and going, but that's just part of the job. Most of the guys here are from the local villages or have moved here for the project. We spend our days looking at plans and making sure the workers have what they need. It’s not a glamorous life. There’s a lot of mud when it rains and plenty of dust when it’s dry. We don't have a polished corporate image out here. We’re just a bunch of engineers and laborers trying to finish the work on schedule. We eat our meals together in the shade and talk about how the construction is progressing. It’s a straightforward environment. We’re not here to win awards for our office decor; we’re here to build things that last. It’s hard work, but there’s a certain pride in seeing a project come together from nothing. We usually end the day covered in dirt but feeling like we actually did something.
