Shreeji Travels

You'll find Shreeji Travels sitting right on Godhra Road, near the Allahabad Bank. It's a busy spot because everyone uses the bank as a landmark, so there are always people standing around outside. Our office is pretty simple, just some chairs for customers and a big desk where we keep all the booking registers. We have buses coming and going at odd hours, so there’s usually someone here even when it’s late. The phone rings a lot with people asking if the bus to the city is on time or if there’s space for an extra bag. Sometimes the traffic on Godhra Road gets backed up, and we have to step out to see if our drivers are stuck nearby. It’s a lot of waiting and then a lot of rushing all at once. We know most of the regular travelers by name now since they take the same route every week. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in our big books. The walls have a few old calendars and maps pinned up. It’s just a place to get your travel sorted without any fuss. We try to keep things running on time, but with the roads being what they are, it’s always a bit of a gamble. We just stay here and manage the bookings as they come in throughout the day.
