Safari Press Metal Co. Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Plot No. 2101-8-9. It’s a pretty large space since we have three plots joined together. You can imagine the noise when all the presses are running at once. It’s constant banging and the smell of grease and metal. We’ve been here a long time and the floors are stained from years of production. It’s a tough environment, but the crew here is used to it. We spend most of the shift watching the machines and making sure the metal is being pressed correctly. There isn't much room for sitting around. We have to keep an eye on the parts coming off the line. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the day fixing a gear or a belt. It’s just part of the life here at the factory. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just show up, do the press work, and make sure the count is right at the end of the day. The sun beats down on the corrugated roof in the afternoons, making it pretty warm inside. We usually leave the big doors open to get a breeze. It’s a simple operation at Plot No. 2101-8-9, and we like it that way. No one here wears a suit, just boots and work clothes. It is just the reality of working with heavy press metal every day.
