We run Gunjan Plastic out of Plot No. 1706-7. It’s actually two plots joined together because we needed the extra space for all the raw materials and the finished plastic parts. The floor is concrete and has a few oil stains here and there from the old hydraulic presses we use. It can get pretty noisy when the cooling fans are all running at once. We usually have a lot of bags filled with plastic pellets stacked near the front door. The office is just a tiny corner that we partitioned off with some plywood so we can have a place to sit and do the billing. It’s not air-conditioned, so we use those big pedestal fans to keep the air moving. Dealing with plastic means we have to be careful about the temperature in the shop. Most days, we are busy from the time we open the shutters until we pull them down at night. We don't have a big corporate structure, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. The street outside is usually full of other plastic shops and small factories, so there is always a lot of movement. We don’t bother with anything too flashy, we just focus on making sure the orders are ready on time. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that’s just the nature of the business we are in. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily grind here on the floor.
