We’ve been working out of Plot No. 404 for a while now. It’s a simple building, just one of many in this industrial patch. We deal with plastic items, so there’s always a faint smell of melting poly in the air. It’s not a bad smell once you’re used to it. Our days are pretty repetitive, but that’s how you get the work done. We start when the sun comes up and usually wrap things up by early evening. There isn't any fancy decor in the shop; just the machines, some storage racks, and a desk for paperwork. We try to keep things organized, but when we’re busy, there are boxes everywhere. We hire local guys who need the work, and we all just get along with the task at hand. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything. We just want to make sure the parts we make are decent and that the orders get loaded onto the trucks without mistakes. Sometimes we stay late if a big job comes in, but we don't complain much. It’s just how the business goes. We have our tea, we talk about the news, and we keep the machines running. It’s a basic life, but it’s honest. We’re just a small part of the industry here, doing our bit every day. We don't look for trouble, just more work to keep us busy.
