Prashant Plastic Industries

Our place, Prashant Plastic Industries, is located right in the middle of the GIDC Estate in Halol. It’s on Plot No. 1706/7 if you’re looking for it. The estate is always crowded with trucks, and there is a lot of noise from the other factories too. We work with plastics here, mostly turning raw materials into finished parts. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, but we've got a rhythm down. Some days are longer than others, especially when a machine acts up or a delivery is late. We usually have the tea guy come by twice a day, which is a nice break from the heat of the molding machines. The floor is covered in scraps sometimes, but we sweep up before heading home. Halol has changed a lot since we first set up shop here. There are more buildings now and the roads are busier. My brother and I manage most of the daily tasks ourselves. We aren't big on paperwork, though we keep enough records to know what’s what. Most of our tools have been with us for years. They still work fine, so there is no reason to change them. It’s just a straightforward operation. We show up, do the work, and go home to our families. No one here wears a suit. We just wear what’s comfortable for a long shift in the factory. It isn't a glamorous life, but it works for us.
