Our workshop, Kalyan Poly Plast, is located at Plot No. C-1/1821 in the GIDC Estate. It’s a big area, so it took us a while to get settled in properly. The building itself is pretty sturdy, which is good because we move a lot of heavy stuff around. The floors are concrete and have seen better days, but they do the job. We spend a lot of time organizing the stacks of material. It’s easy for things to get cluttered if we aren't careful. Most of us here have lived nearby for years, so the commute to the GIDC isn't too bad. We see the same faces every morning at the tea stall near the gate. Running a place like this involves a lot of manual labor and staying on top of the schedule. We don't really do the whole suit-and-tie thing. Most of the time, our clothes are a bit messy from the production process. That’s just the reality of working in an estate like this. We deal with suppliers and transporters all day long. Sometimes the trucks are late, and we have to wait around, but that’s just part of the business. We keep things straightforward. If there’s work to be done, we do it. Plot No. C-1/1821 is just a place where we put in the hours and try to keep things moving forward without making a fuss. We don't need any praise, just a productive day and a smooth exit.
