Our place is in Adarsh Nagar, which is down in the Talli Bamori area of Mukhani. Being in the Nainital district, the weather is usually nice, though it gets a bit damp during the monsoon season. We’ve set up our shop here to serve the local neighborhood mostly. It’s not a big fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a solid building where we store our stock and talk to customers. We’ve been here for a good few years now. Most of the people who come in are folks we see at the market or around the corner. We don’t spend money on big ads or anything. We just try to have what people need when they need it. The office part is just a small desk in the back where we keep the accounts. It’s often a bit cluttered with papers and samples, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the roads around here get a bit congested with local traffic, so deliveries can take a bit longer than we’d like. We just take things as they come. It’s a small family-run kind of vibe. We don’t have corporate meetings or fancy reports. We just sit down with a cup of chai and figure out what needs to be done for the day. It’s a straightforward life and we’re happy with how things are going. The walls are a bit bare, but we prefer focusing on the actual work instead of decorations.
