Subham Automobile

If you go down Street No- 3 in Niliam Colony, you’ll find us. We’re Subham Automobile, tucked away in Adarsh Nagar. We’re quite close to Maharishi School, so we hear the bell ring every morning and afternoon. It’s a bit of a landmark for us. The street can get a little tight when parents are dropping off their kids, but otherwise, it’s a decent place to work. We spend our days under hoods or looking at tires. It’s mostly just us and the tools. The shop isn't very large, but we make use of every inch we have. There’s a cat that hangs around the back alley that we feed sometimes. She’s basically part of the staff now. We don't really do much advertising because most people in the neighborhood just know we’re here. We’ve seen the kids from the school grow up and start driving their own cars over the years. That makes you feel a bit old, honestly. The air always smells a bit like gasoline and old rubber, which is something you just stop noticing after a while. We keep a radio playing in the corner, usually some old songs that everyone knows the words to. It’s not a corporate setup, just a local garage where we try to stay busy and keep things moving. We usually lock up once the sun goes down and the street gets quiet again.
