If you head down Bareli Road, you’ll eventually run into us at Goraprao. Lal Kuan Stone Cruser is a local business that’s been operating on this stretch of road for quite some time. It’s not the most glamorous work, dealing with stones all day. The air is often thick with dust and the noise of the machinery is constant. We don’t have any fancy signs or big billboards. Most people know us just by driving past or through word of mouth. The yard is filled with different sizes of stone. We spend our mornings getting everything ready and our afternoons making sure orders are moving. Bareli Road gets pretty busy with trucks and travelers, so there’s always something happening outside. We aren't trying to change the world, just doing the work that’s needed here in Goraprao. The staff is small, mostly just a few guys who have been doing this for years. We know the machines inside and out. Sometimes rain slows us down and the ground gets muddy, which makes everything a bit more difficult. But we just wait for it to dry and get back to it. It’s a practical business. We don't use big words or try to sound like a corporation. We are just a stone crusher on the side of the road, doing what we know how to do. The pile of rocks never seems to get any smaller no matter how much we crush. We just keep the engines running until the day is over and it's time to head home.
