Hooghly Metcoke & Power Company Limited

We have our office set up in the HFC Colony in Haldia, which is out in the East Midnapur district of West Bengal. Being in an industrial town like Haldia means things are always moving, mostly related to the port or the factories nearby. Our focus is on metcoke and power, so the work we do is pretty heavy and technical. The office itself is at C/162, and it’s a modest place where we handle the administration and coordination for the plant operations. It isn't particularly flashy, just a bunch of desks, some computers, and a lot of filing cabinets filled with records and site reports. The weather in this part of Bengal can be quite tough, especially during the monsoon, but we keep the operations running through it all. We have a small group of people working here who handle the day-to-day logistics and the power side of things. Most of us have been here for years and we know the local area well. We don't spend money on fancy marketing materials because we are busy making sure the actual production side stays on track. It's a lot of phone calls, spreadsheets, and meetings to ensure everything is moving the way it should. We aren't trying to be anything other than a solid industrial operation that supports the local economy and the power grid. It’s a busy life here in the colony for all of us.
