Deb Bricks & Blocks

Our business, Deb Bricks & Blocks, is located in Village Kukrahati. We are right by the Hel River Side Tower in the Sutahata area of Purba Midnapur. It’s a nice spot because you can see the river and there’s usually a bit of a breeze. We make both bricks and blocks here. The location is a bit out of the way compared to the main city, but people find us easily enough because of the tower nearby. We spend our days out in the yard, mixing and molding and letting things set. It’s a simple process but it takes a lot of time and effort. The ground can get pretty messy when we are working, but that’s just the nature of making building materials. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us working in the village, supplying whatever the local construction needs require. Most people who live around Sutahata know our faces. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the landscape. Sometimes we sit by the river for a minute when the work gets too hot. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for the sound of the machines. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure we have enough stock for whoever might stop by the village to pick up a load. It's just a steady way to spend the week.
