A. L. Logistics Pvt. Ltd. is based right off National Highway-41 in Debhog, near the City Centre. It’s a very practical spot for us because the big trucks can get in and out without getting stuck in small city streets. The office is basically just a small building next to a big gravel lot. There is always the sound of diesel engines and people calling out numbers. We spend our days tracking shipments and talking to drivers over the radio or phone. It’s a lot of coordination, and things rarely go exactly as planned. A tire might blow out or a road might be closed, and then we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing the schedule. We aren't a big, polished company. Our desks are old and the chairs squeak whenever you move. We usually have a pot of tea going and some snacks on the table. Most of our guys have been driving for us for years, so we know them well. We don't use much fancy software; mostly we just rely on our notebooks and a few spreadsheets. The dust from the highway gets into the office, so everything has a bit of a grit to it. We just focus on getting the cargo where it needs to go. It’s a lot of work and long hours, but it’s what we do.
