Devyani Ice Cream Corner

We are located right in Ward 6, just off J.D. Road. Being so close to National Highway 31, there is always something going on. You see all sorts of travelers stopping by. We are near Durga Mandir, so during festival times, the whole street gets packed with people. It’s a small corner shop, nothing too big or flashy. Most of the time, we’re just sitting here watching the cars go by on the highway. It gets quite dusty with the wind blowing off the main road, so we’re always cleaning the windows. The shop itself has been here for some time now. We don't have a lot of space for seating, so most people just grab what they want and head back to their cars or walk over to the temple. It’s a bit of a loud area because of the heavy trucks, but you get used to the sound after a week or two. Sometimes the fridge makes a weird noise, but it keeps everything cold enough. We just focus on keeping the stock full and the floor clean. It’s a straightforward business. We aren't trying to do anything special, just providing something cold for people on a hot day. It’s mostly locals from the ward who come by in the late evening. We know most of them by face now. It's just a regular part of the day for us here at the corner.
