Asandra Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located in the Asandra area of Haidergarh, right at Shamashi Husain’s place. It’s a small operation, mostly just a bunch of us who have been farming these lands for as long as anyone can remember. We aren't some big company with a fancy office in the city. Our days are spent out in the fields, checking on the crops and seeing how the soil is holding up. We decided to start this producer company because it felt like we were always at the mercy of the middlemen. By coming together, we can talk to buyers as a group. It’s not always easy, and there is a lot of paperwork that none of us really likes doing. We meet up at Shamashi’s house to go over the numbers and plan out the next season. The village is quiet, and that’s how we like it. We focus on what grows best around here. Sometimes the rains don’t come when they should, and we all sit around worrying together. Other times, the harvest is plenty and the mood is better. We don’t have any grand plans to take over the market. We just want to make sure the families in Asandra can keep their farms going without losing money every year. It’s just simple, hard work by people who know the land. We don’t use any complicated business words. We just talk about seeds, water, and the price of grain.
