Vijay Shree General Store

Vijay Shree General Store is a small spot on Kedapati Road. We are situated in Phool Bagh, Gwalior, not too far from the Parika Office. Our shop is where we spend most of our waking hours. We sell the usual household goods and daily necessities. It is a cramped space, but we know where every single item is hidden on the racks. The 474002 neighborhood is quite lively during the day. We have bags of pulses sitting on the floor and rows of spices on the wall. It’s a very traditional setup. No barcode scanners or anything like that here. We just use a calculator and a blue pen. Sometimes the street outside gets muddy during the rains, but people still come in for their bread and eggs. We get a lot of regulars who live just a few houses down the road. We talk about the weather or the local news while we bag their items. It’s a friendly atmosphere most of the time. We don't have a big sign, just the name painted above the door. It’s getting a bit faded now. Gwalior is our home, and this store is our livelihood. We don't try to compete with the big malls in the city. We just provide what the neighbors need for their daily lives. It is simple work, and we are quite happy with it.
