Verma Health Care

Verma Health Care is tucked away in Jinshi Nala No.2, over in the Lashkar area of Gwalior. It’s an old part of town, so the streets have that narrow, lived-in feel. We’ve been operating from here for a good amount of time. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We show up, sweep the front, and wait for the first person to knock. We don't have a big staff or a fancy reception desk. It’s usually just us and the patients. Lashkar is a place where everyone seems to know everyone else’s business, which is actually nice for a small health center. People come in to talk about their aches and pains, and we do what we can. The building isn't brand new, and sometimes the plumbing acts up, but it serves its purpose. We deal with common illnesses and general check-ups. There’s no big philosophy behind it; we just think people should have a place nearby to go when they aren't feeling well. Gwalior can get really hot in the summer, so we keep the water cooler filled up for anyone who walks in. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when the local festivals are happening and the streets get blocked. We just take it as it comes. It's a humble setup but we are here every day. We hope that being here makes things a bit easier for the families who live around this part of the city.
