Tomar General Store

Tomar General Store is located at S 158 Shatabdi Puram, right near the 60 Feet Road Chauraha. Being close to Gole Ka Mandir in Gwalior means there is always a lot of noise and dust from the main road. The shop is in Phase 2, and we have been serving the people around here for a good while. We stock everything from washing powder to bags of snacks and bottled water. The summers in Gwalior get incredibly hot, so the shop feels like a furnace sometimes, even with the fan going full blast. We have a lot of walk-in traffic because of the chauraha, so we have to keep the front area clear. Most of our day is spent unloading crates or sorting through the inventory that comes in from the Gwalior markets. The shelves are made of simple metal and they are pretty crowded with all sorts of jars and packets. We don't have any staff really, just the family members taking turns behind the counter. It's a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is out buying milk or bread for breakfast. The 60 Feet Road is always busy with bikes and autos, so it never really gets quiet until late at night. We just try to keep the basic supplies in stock so nobody has to go all the way to the main market. The walls are painted a pale yellow that has started to peel near the corners. We have a small fridge for milk and curd.
