The Central Park

Our place, The Central Park, is located at 2-A in the City Centre area. If you know the neighborhood, you know how hectic it can get during the middle of the day. There are cars parked everywhere and people rushing to get their errands done. We are right in the thick of it. The building itself is straightforward. We have a few floors and a lot of doors that need oiling from time to time. Most of the staff has been here for a couple of years, so we all know each other’s habits. We drink a lot of tea in the back room when things quiet down for ten minutes. The floors are made of tile and we spend a good chunk of time mopping them because of all the foot traffic. It’s a practical sort of place. We don’t go in for much decoration. We just provide a space for people who are visiting the City Centre. Sometimes the air conditioning hums a bit too loud, but nobody seems to mind much when it’s hot outside. We deal with lost keys, questions about where the nearest bank is, and the occasional delivery driver who can't find the entrance. It is just a regular business doing regular things. By the time we close up for the night, the streets are finally starting to get a bit of peace and quiet and the moon comes up over the city.
