Tear Smoke Unit, Bsf

Down here in Tekanpur, things run at a different pace. The Tear Smoke Unit is located right here at the post office area. It’s a specialized place, as you can imagine from the name. Being part of the BSF setup means there’s a certain way we do things. It’s not a regular commercial shop. We have a General Manager who keeps an eye on the operations. The facility is large and spread out. Most of us have been working here for quite some time, so we know the routine by heart. It’s a bit isolated, which is probably good for the kind of work we handle. There’s a lot of focus on the daily logs and making sure the supplies are handled correctly. We don't really have customers walking in off the street. It’s more of a focused, quiet environment most days, except when testing is happening. The weather in this part of the country can be quite harsh, especially in the summer months. We just get on with it. The buildings are sturdy and functional, nothing fancy about them. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or what’s happening in the village nearby. It feels more like a community than just a workplace. Everything has its place, and we try to keep it that way. It’s a serious job, but we find time for a laugh now and then.
