Tayal Stores

Tayal Stores is tucked away in Shop No:8 at the New Market in Daulat Ganj. If you know the Lashkar area, you know how crowded it gets. It’s a lively place with a lot of noise and people constantly walking by. We’ve been here for a good amount of time. It’s a small shop, but we pack it full of whatever we’re selling at the time. We don't have a lot of space to move around, so we’ve gotten good at stacking things. It’s just a regular market life for us. We open up early and stay late most days. People stop by to chat or look for things they need. We don't have a corporate strategy or anything. We just try to have what people are looking for. The market has changed over the years, but our shop is still pretty much the same. It can be a bit chaotic during festival times, but that’s when it’s most fun. We know most of the other shopkeepers around Daulat Ganj. We share tea and complain about the heat sometimes. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We aren't looking to expand into a big chain. We just like our spot in New Market. It’s where we belong. If you’re in Lashkar, you can find us easily enough. Just look for Shop Number 8. We have a small stool for customers to sit on if they’re tired.
