Taikisha Engg. India Ltd.

Lashkar is a busy place in Gwalior and that’s where Taikisha Engg. India Ltd. is located. It’s an area with a lot of history and narrow streets that can be a bit of a headache to navigate if you’re driving a big car. We are right in the middle of it all. The building we are in has seen better days but it’s sturdy and keeps the sun off us during those really hot Gwalior summers. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and stacks of blueprints or engineering documents. We don’t have a fancy receptionist or a lounge area for people to wait in. Usually, if someone comes by, we just pull up a spare chair and talk right there. The sounds of the street outside are constant—horns, people shouting, and the occasional cart. It becomes background noise after a while. We go through a lot of pens and notebooks. The fans on the ceiling hum constantly. It’s a practical space. We don’t spend money on expensive carpets or art for the walls because that doesn’t help us finish our jobs. We like being in Lashkar because everything we need is close by. It’s a no-nonsense environment where we focus on the technical details. Most of the people here have been working together for a long time, so we know each other's habits. It’s just a normal day-to-day life for us at this office. We close up at a decent hour and head home.
