Sulaiman Engineering Works

Our shop, Sulaiman Engineering Works, is right across from the Government Boys School on M. S. Road in Joura. It's a busy spot especially when school lets out and the kids are everywhere. We’ve been fixing things and doing metal work here for years. You can usually hear the sound of the welding machine or the grinder if you're walking by. The place is a bit cluttered with scraps and old parts, but we know where everything is. People bring in all sorts of stuff that needs a bit of iron work or a quick repair. It’s not a big company, just a local workshop. My father started it and now we keep it going. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains hard, but we just move the machines out of the way. We keep regular hours mostly, unless there is a job that needs finishing late. It’s a simple life here in Joura. We don't have a website or anything, just the sign out front. Sometimes the power cuts off and we have to wait a bit, but that's just how it goes here. We help out the neighbors when they need a tool or a bit of help with a heavy gate. It’s just us doing what we can with what we have. Most of the folks in town know my name. We don't charge much, just enough to keep the lights on and the family fed.
